Experteer Overview In this leadership role, you oversee the Psychiatry Residency Program within a large community health system. You will shape educational strategy, supervise residents, and collaborate with faculty to expand access to high-quality psychiatric care for underserved populations. You’ll drive curriculum design, evaluation, and program development across multiple training sites. The position combines clinical supervision with administrative leadership to advance a mission of compassionate, affordable mental health care. Compensation / Benefits • Provide clinical supervision and evaluation of residents in the residency clinic • Lead curriculum design, planning, and program development • Participate in program evaluation and clinical competency committees • Support and implement policies in line with institutional requirements and ACGME milestones • Teach residents through lectures, seminars, and direct patient care • Serve on residency program committees and act as course director for rotations if needed • Collaborate with faculty to ensure compliance with EMR standards and documentation expectations • Engage in quality improvement activities and peer review • Mentor residents and promote professional development • Contribute to faculty development initiatives • Work with diverse patient populations with cultural sensitivity and respect for differences • Balance educational, administrative, and clinical duties efficiently • Assist with accreditation and program accreditation processes • Perform other duties as assigned Tasks • Current certification in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) • Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS) • Active DEA license • Unrestricted medical license to practice in California (if applicable) • Graduate from an accredited school of medicine • 5 years of psychiatry experience • Minimum 3 years of faculty teaching experience in psychiatry residency • Academic leadership experience in assistant/associate or program director roles preferred • Experience with underserved populations and with outpatient/inpatient psychiatry preferred Key requirements • Starting salary with wide range ($316,000–$425,300) • Sign-on, retention bonuses and relocation assistance • CME and career growth opportunities • 403(b) retirement plan with 50% employer match • NHSC loan repayment eligibility • Malpractice coverage and comprehensive insurance
