Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic STRTP (Short-Term Residential Treatment Program) Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and behavioral support to children and adolescents in a residential setting. Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing clinical counseling for youth in the program
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on mental health, trauma recovery (including PTSD), addiction counseling, and social skills development
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute behavioral or emotional episodes effectively
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management, discharge planning, and community care services
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Collect data for clinical research initiatives, monitor progress through EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, and contribute to quality improvement efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred with relevant licensure (e.g., LCSW or LMFT)
- Proven experience working with children and adolescents in residential or community settings; experience with special education or autism spectrum disorders is a plus
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic techniques including motivational interviewing, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and crisis management skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and documentation standards such as HIPAA compliance
- Ability to perform patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and case management effectively in high-pressure environments
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or geriatrics is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients through individual/group therapy and family counseling sessions
- Proficiency in EMR systems for data collection, clinical documentation, and research purposes

Pay: $70,304.00 - $90,000.00 per year
