Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Resident Care Coordinator to lead and enhance the quality of life for residents in our senior living community. This vital role involves coordinating personalized care plans, supervising caregiving staff, and ensuring that each resident’s unique needs are met with dignity and respect. Duties
- Develop, implement, and regularly update comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident’s specific health conditions, including Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory care, and other senior care needs.
- Supervise and support caregiving staff, including training on assisted living protocols, medication administration, and specialized dementia or Alzheimer’s care techniques.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive appropriate medical attention, therapies, and social services.
- Oversee medication management processes to ensure safety, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
- Manage daily operations within the community or group home setting, including budgeting, resource allocation, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with residents’ families by providing updates on care progress and addressing concerns proactively.
- Lead efforts in community engagement activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being for residents.
Skills
- Proven experience in long-term care settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, retirement homes, or group homes.
- Strong leadership skills with supervisory experience managing caregiving teams or healthcare staff.
- Deep understanding of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care strategies, memory care best practices, and resident safety protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing care plans, documentation, budgets, and operational tasks.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and compliance standards within home & community care environments.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized senior care services.
