Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. This role involves providing direct patient care, supporting skill development, and collecting data to monitor progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral therapy and experience working with children in educational or clinical settings. Duties

  • Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote independence
  • Collect and record data on client behaviors and skill acquisition accurately and consistently
  • Support the development and execution of individualized care plans and behavior management strategies
  • Work one-on-one with clients during therapy sessions, ensuring safety and engagement
  • Collaborate with supervisors, teachers, and caregivers to ensure consistency across environments
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Document progress notes, update medical records, and assist with compliance documentation as required
  • Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education, and medical terminology

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain certification prior to employment
  • Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management strategies
  • Ability to assist with ADLs and support patient care needs effectively
  • Strong data collection skills for tracking client progress and behavior patterns
  • Familiarity with medical documentation, care plans, and medical records management
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Excellent teaching skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to work well with diverse populations
  • Prior experience in special education or behavioral health settings is preferred but not required
