Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities.

At White Light ABA all technicians are required to complete their RBT at onboarding/training.

We support child led, play based compassion care services. You will be supervised and training by the in-person BCBA, and follow the core ethics of the BACB.

In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, support skill development, and promote positive behavior change. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster growth, independence, and improved quality of life. Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, feeding, and other self-care tasks
  • Support teaching sessions focused on communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors in accordance with special education strategies
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop effective behavior management strategies tailored to each client’s needs
  • Foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages positive interactions and promotes client independence

Skills

  • Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles
  • Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
  • Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence
  • Proficiency in data collection methods and maintaining detailed medical records
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and care plans
  • Excellent teaching skills combined with patience and compassion for working with diverse populations
  • Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines ensuring confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information
