Worcester Cultural Academy Public Charter School is seeking an experienced and skilled BCBA to join our team in a unique split role serving two schools. This position is based primarily in Worcester (3 days per week) with regular presence at our sibling school--Old Sturbridge Academy--in Sturbridge (2 days per week). We are looking for a candidate who brings clinical expertise, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine commitment to supporting students with emotional, behavioral, and autism spectrum needs in an inclusive, high-expectation school environment. We launched with kindergarten and have added a grade every year since this fall we welcome our first 7th graders. As an EL (Expeditionary Learning) Education school, we believe in hands-on learning that challenges students to grow in three dimensions: mastery of knowledge and skills, character, and high-quality work. We partner with organizations like the EcoTarium, Worcester Art Museum, and Hanover Theater and anchor our curriculum in Learning Expeditions that make learning meaningful and real. You will be navigating two school communities, building relationships across two staffs, and holding a high standard for student support in both places. If that kind of challenge excites you, you'll fit right in.What You'll DoDirect Student SupportConduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) for students with emotional, behavioral, and autism spectrum needs across both school communitiesAttend and present data analysis at IEP meetingsDevelop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with clear goals, measurable outcomes, and regular data reviewProvide direct support to students as needed, modeling strategies and building students' capacity for self-regulation and positive behaviorCollaborate with special education teachers and related service providers to ensure behavior supports are integrated into each student's IEP and overall planMonitor and analyze behavioral data across both schools, adjusting plans based on student progress and emerging needsAttend IEP meetings and present behavioral data and recommendations for team reviewStaff Consultation and Capacity BuildingServe as a consultant and thought partner to teachers, special educators, and instructional aides across both schoolsProvide training, modeling, and coaching to staff on evidence-based behavior strategies, de-escalation techniques, and trauma-informed practicesGuide instructional aides and paraprofessionals in implementing BIPs consistently and with fidelitySupport teachers in building classroom environments and routines that are proactive, structured, and conducive to all learnersCollaborate with school leadership on school-wide behavior systems and culture initiativesFamily and Team PartnershipPartner with families in a culturally responsive and empathetic way, centering their knowledge of their child and building trust across cultural and linguistic differencesParticipate in IEP meetings, contributing behavioral expertise and communicating clearly about student progress and supportsMaintain accurate and organized documentation including FBAs, BIPs, and progress data in compliance with state and federal requirementsCommunicate proactively with your supervisor and both school leadership teams, ensuring alignment and transparency across sitesWhat You BringBoard Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standingMassachusetts licensure as a BCBA (or eligibility for licensure)Experience conducting FBAs and developing and implementing BIPs in school settingsExperience working with students with autism spectrum disorder and emotional and behavioral needsStrong consultation and coaching skills you can build the capacity of the people around you, not just work directly with studentsAbility to work effectively across two school communities, managing your time, relationships, and priorities across both sitesExperience collaborating with special education teams, general education teachers, and paraprofessionalsComfort with data collection, analysis, and using data to drive decision-makingStrong communication skills and the ability to build trust with families, staff, and students across a range of identities and backgroundsFlexibility, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a role that requires you to be a strong independent contributor while remaining deeply connected to two teamsBenefits: Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceWork Location: In personInterested candidates may apply here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5XF8PK7 (you might need to copy & paste)
