Mental Health Counselor, Limited Permit

Soho Center 305 for Mental Health Counseling is a structured, high-demand outpatient psychotherapy practice in Miami. We are designed to support clinicians in building strong clinical skills while developing and maintaining a consistent caseload.

We are currently hiring Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns (RMHCI) who are clinically strong, reliable, and motivated to grow within a team-based environment.

This role is best suited for clinicians who are prepared to build and maintain a 20–25+ session weekly caseload within the first 2–3 months.

Position Requirements

Candidates must:

• Have completed a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field
• Be registered (or eligible to register) as an RMHCI in Florida
• Have completed between 0–2,000 hours toward licensure
• Be able to commit to at least 2 years within the practice

Schedule Requirements

• Minimum of 4 shifts per week
• Must include:
• Weekday availability (morning and/or afternoon)
• At least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
• Each shift consists of 4 clinical sessions (45 minutes each)

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide individual (and optional couples) psychotherapy
• Maintain a caseload of 20–25+ patients per week
• Complete documentation within 24 hours of each session
• Participate in weekly supervision (2 hours total)
• Communicate clinical concerns consistently with supervisor
• Adhere to Florida Board regulations and ACA Code of Ethics

Clinical Expectations

Candidates should demonstrate:

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to assess and manage crisis situations
• Familiarity with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
• Ability to work with diverse populations
• Openness to feedback, supervision, and collaboration

Experience or interest in:

• Psychodynamic therapy
• CBT
• Family systems
• Emotionally focused therapy
• Client-centered approaches
