Verge TherapyPediatric Neuropsychologist

About Verge Therapy:
Verge Therapy is a clinician-owned and operated practice built on the belief that therapy should be relational, not transactional. We provide personal, evidence-based care and a work environment grounded in authenticity, innovation, adaptability, growth, and connection.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate, adaptable, and client-centered Child/Adolescent Neuropsychologist to join our inclusive team. This is a full-time, salaried position that includes benefits and opportunities for bonuses. As a Pediatric Neuropsychologist, you will provide comprehensive neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological assessments for children, adolescents, and emerging adults (typically ages 3–22) with a primary focus on identifying how brain development or injury affects a child’s learning, behavior, and socio-emotional functioning. Priority will be given to candidates with a background in assessing children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (e.g., ADOS-2 training preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth clinical interviews with parents/guardians.
  • Select and customize standardized testing batteries based on the specific referral question, ensuring the measures are sensitive enough to capture subtle deficits.
  • Perform in-depth standardized testing of intelligence, memory, executive function, attention, and academic skills.
  • Evaluate for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning disabilities (Dyslexia/Dyscalculia), and the impact of medical conditions (e.g., epilepsy, concussion, genetic disorders).
  • Formalize high-quality, parent-friendly integrative reports that bridge the gap between clinical data and practical home/school interventions.
  • Interpret results in the context of educational frameworks (IEP/504 plans) and provide actionable recommendations for classroom accommodations.
  • Meet with families to explain results in a patient-centered and supportive manner. Provide family support and education, offer local support resources, and discuss and offer guidance on clinical recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

  • A doctoral degree from an APA-approved Ph.D. or Psy.D. program in Clinical Psychology.
  • Completion of a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology.
  • Current Massachusetts state licensure is required.
  • Board Certification or Board eligibility through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP).
  • A commitment to anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Experience and expertise serving pediatric populations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range based on experience and bonuses: ~$140K – $170K+
  • 40 hours MA sick time
  • 401k plan with up to 4% employer match
  • Comprehensive health & dental insurance
  • Liability and malpractice insurance

What Verge Handles for You:

  • Consistent referral pipeline
  • Administrative and operational support
  • Structured systems
  • A leadership team focused on efficiency and clinician experience
  • Insurance credentialing
