Job Overview
DART (Development for Autism and Related Treatment) was founded with a passion to provide high quality services to children on the autism spectrum and their families. DART’s mission is to promote engaging, safe, and quality therapy for those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) while striving for independent lifestyles. Our team utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and evidence-based practices during therapy to teach and build prosocial behavior.

We are seeking skilled Behavior Therapists with strong communication abilities and a commitment to high-quality care for adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities.

Therapists will design and implement structured, evidence-based interventions, promote client engagement, and support the development of functional skills across domains including communication, socialization, adaptive living, executive functioning, and cognitive performance.

Responsibilities

  • Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to support clients’ developmental goals.
  • Assist adult clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other essential self-care skills.
  • Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
  • Support adult clients during teaching sessions, ensuring engagement and motivation while promoting skill acquisition across various domains such as communication, social skills, and behavior management.
  • Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, families, educators, and healthcare providers to develop and update individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Uphold professional standards by adhering to ethical guidelines related to behavior management and patient care within a supportive team environment.

At this time, we have an immediate need for to adult clients located in the West Austin area (78746)

  • Part-time positions available (12 hrs/weekly minimum): We're looking for staff to support two adult clients Monday - Friday.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Experience working with Adults with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data effectively using various recording methods.
  • Strong understanding of special education principles and teaching methodologies tailored for diverse learners.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards.
