Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team to provide community based therapy in childcare facilities. The RBT/Trainee will work directly with children and individuals with behavioral health challenges, implementing treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is crucial in supporting the development of essential skills and promoting positive behavior changes in our clients.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans as designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques to enhance learning and daily living skills.
- Monitor client progress and document behavioral data accurately to inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, promoting independence and self-care skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all interactions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and special education practices to enhance client support.
- Under supervision of a BCBA, Trainee will modify programs and conduct assessments
Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
- CPR Certification - Online is required
- TB test Results within the past 2.5 years.
- Completing Bachelor Level ABA Courses or
- Enrolled in Masters Program or hold a Masters Degree with ABA certificate.
- Experience working in Child Care or School Setting
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs is preferred.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles, behavior management techniques, and applied behavior analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for educating clients, families, and team members effectively.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus but not mandatory.
- Interest in pursuing an educational background in Applied Behavior Analysis
