We’re looking for a cheerful, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our vibrant healthcare team at Lotus Counseling Center!
Responsibilities
- Greet all clients, guests, and team members warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and follow up to convert leads into scheduled patient appointments
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments while managing multiple therapist calendars
- Perform accurate and timely insurance verifications and update EMR systems accordingly
- Assist with daily administrative tasks, including creating office requisitions and maintaining records
- Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and company policies
- Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and provide a cheerful presence in all patient and team interactions
- Continuously seek ways to improve patient experience and office operations
- Attends staff meetings as requested by upper management
- On a daily basis, both in person and on the phone, consistently demonstrates patient confidentiality as required by our policy.
Skills
- Proven experience working in a medical office setting or similar healthcare environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in medical administrative support functions such as appointment scheduling, record keeping, and insurance processing.
- Prior experience in a healthcare facility is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with patients, providers, and team members.
- 2+ years of experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (required)
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification and healthcare procedures
- Self-starter with a positive attitude, strong initiative, and a desire to grow within the company
- Cheerful, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a genuine passion for helping others
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards at all times
- Must be able to commute to and work onsite in Miami, FL 33129
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
