Job Title: Supported Employment Counselor
Location: [Ocean County, NJ ] MUST HAVE OWN VEHILE AND VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Supported Employment Counselor to join our team. In this role, you'll support individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment in finding and maintaining meaningful, competitive jobs in the community. Using a person-centered model, you’ll collaborate closely with each individual to understand their unique strengths, preferences, and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized employment plans based on each client’s strengths, interests, and needs
• Provide job coaching, skill development, and workplace advocacy
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with employers to create inclusive job opportunities
• Support clients with job searching, application processes, and interview preparation
• Monitor progress and provide ongoing support to ensure job retention and satisfaction
• Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in accordance with funding and organizational standards

Qualifications:

• At least one year experience working with people who have disabilities
• Commitment to person-centered practices and values
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (A MUST)
• ASL and Spanish Speaking preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $42,000.00 per year
