A dynamic opportunity is available for a Social Worker serving grades 5 through 9 in a school setting located in Springfield, MA. This contract position involves working closely with students, families, and educational staff to support the social and emotional well-being of middle school and early high school students.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students across grades 5 to 9
  • Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop intervention plans
  • Providing individual and group counseling to promote student resilience and academic success
  • Connecting families with community resources and support services
  • Facilitating crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Proven experience as a Social Worker in educational settings, preferably with middle and early high school students
  • Strong understanding of child development and adolescent psychology
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school personnel
