Purchasing Assistant – Round Rock/Pflugerville

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our purchasing department in day-to-day operations. This role is essential in ensuring timely procurement of materials, maintaining accurate records, and supporting smooth supply chain operations.

This position is in our Pflugerville/Austin location. Ideal candidate must have above average computer skills, be diligent, meticulous, have excellent attendance, and work overtime as needed. Ideal candidates must be able to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and follow specific instruction.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with placing and tracking purchase orders.
Follow up on outstanding purchase orders and back-ordered items to ensure timely delivery.
Communicate with vendors to resolve issues, confirm order details, and schedule deliveries.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to confirm deliveries and assist with receiving inventory into the Warehouse Management System while verifying quantities against purchase orders.
Assist in researching suppliers and gathering quotes.
Assist with entering and updating product costs and pricing in the Warehouse Management System.
Order and manage office and warehouse supplies as needed.
Support the Purchasing team with administrative tasks and reports.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Warehouse experience in electrical or lighting is a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP or WMS software is a plus.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

This full-time position is hourly plus benefits including health insurance with employer contribution and a 401k plan with an employer matching contribution. We also offer availability to vision, dental, and life insurance coverage.
