Overview
We are a geriatric medical office seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service skills, and the ability to perform both clinical and administrative tasks within a fast-paced environment. We will train for front or back office.
Duties
- Assist new patients with registration, insurance questions, patient intake.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting medical histories.
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, handling billing inquiries, data entry, scanning and sorting various medical documents.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients to provide information about their care and address any concerns.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to assist in patient education and documentation.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and patient service protocols is essential.
- Experience working in diverse settings such as urgent care or emergency medicine can enhance your application.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are critical for success in this role.
- Must be able to communicate in Vietnamese fluently.
