Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is crucial in supporting clients in their daily activities and promoting their overall well-being through effective behavior management strategies.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to foster independence and improve quality of life.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors to inform treatment decisions.
- Teach new skills and reinforce positive behaviors through structured teaching methods.
- Provide patient care while ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations regarding confidentiality and medical documentation.
- Maintain accurate medical records, including care plans and behavioral health assessments.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support the client’s development and educational goals.
- Engage in behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician is required.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities, is preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with special education practices and behavioral health concepts is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to document medical terminology accurately and maintain organized medical records.
