Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor

Duties:
- Provide individual counseling sessions to clients struggling with substance abuse
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the appropriate treatment plan for each client
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on the specific needs of each client
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to address common issues and provide support
- Utilize evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to treatment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies or relapse situations
- Conduct regular evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Stay current on the latest research, trends, and best practices in substance abuse counseling

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Valid licensure or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (LADC, CADC, etc.)
- Experience in mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment
- Knowledge of ICD-10 codes and documentation requirements for insurance purposes
- Familiarity with child and family counseling techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills
- Compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client care
