Job Summary (Purpose And Function)
Full-time faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This individual will provide clinical Neuropsychological services that may include mental health screenings and psychological assessments.
Accountabilities
- Administer tests for intelligence, memory, attention, language, and sensorimotor functions.
- Evaluate disorders like dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, stroke, brain tumors, and ADHD
- Develop cognitive rehabilitation plans and, in some cases, provide psychotherapy.
- Prepare detailed, evidence-based reports to guide medical treatment.
- Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other medical staff.
- Provide supervision for post-doctoral psychology fellows
- Attend multidisciplinary team meetings
- Identify patients requiring psychiatric evaluation

- Reports to Dr. Rene Hernandez-Cardenache
- Post-doctoral Psychology Fellows
- Education: Psy.D. or Ph.D.; valid State of Florida Licensed Psychologist
- Completion of a fellowship with specialized training in Neuropsychology.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills for patient care and data interpretation.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
