ASSISTANT CLINICAL PROGRAM DIRECTOR - LPC LCSW LMFT : Mon - Fri (8am-5pm)

Valley Hope of Parker is expanding our Clinical team by adding this key role of Assistant Clinical Program Director.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Master's degree in behavioral sciences or social work.
  • Licensure to provide diagnosis and treatment for substance use disorder and or mental health in state of employment.
  • Must be fully, independently licensed as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Two (2) years of behavioral healthcare clinical counseling or clinical case management work experience.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license.

Preferred:

  • Two (2) plus years of supervisory and/or management experience.
  • Independently licensed in the state in which the facility is located.


COMPENSATION:

  • Starting annual salary range $92,000 - $105,000 per year (based on education and experience)

Job Summary:

  • Provides direct clinical care as needed including individual therapy, group therapy, and psychoeducation and may maintain a reduced caseload.
  • Provides day-to-day supervision of the facility clinical staff to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with Valley Hope's operating policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Supervises identified team members including hiring, training, and providing performance review. Provides routine performance feedback, ongoing leadership, and mentoring in support of staff development.
  • Assists Clinical Program Director with chart reviews and observed session as needed.
  • In conjunction with the Clinical Program Director schedule "On Call", PTO, psychoeducation, and other programming coverage.
  • Assists Clinical Program Director in assessing training needs and developing the training program for the clinical department, to include the enhancement of evidence-based practices, co-occurring care, and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Assists Clinical Program Director with coordination and tracking of clinical in-services.
  • Supports the Clinical Program Director in facilitating staff meetings and completing patient assignments.
  • Assists the Clinical Program Director in providing support in times of crisis and after hours to the counselors "on call".
  • Serves as clinical point person in the absence of the Clinical Program Director.
  • Remains knowledgeable of both residential and outpatient policy, procedures, and programs - participates in cross-training to provide support at any facility as needed within the market.
  • Assists in screening for appropriateness of admission, reviewing records from referral providers (psychiatric units, detox hospitals, etc.)
  • Participates in facility performance improvement activities with an emphasis on clinical services.
  • Collaborates with facility management and staff to maintain and implement continuity of care in residential and outpatient facilities.
  • Maintains and demonstrates a current working knowledge of counseling procedures and substance abuse treatments in accordance with company policy and State and Federal guidelines.
  • Supports all facility tasks and activities required to maintain compliance with all Joint Commission as well as any other regulatory bodies.
  • Assists Clinical Program Director in gathering data, generating reports, translating data, and facilitating quarterly department meetings.
  • Maintains a current working knowledge of trends within substance abuse treatment industry and with State and Federal regulatory requirements and guidelines.
  • Maintains appropriate standards of patient confidentiality.
  • Participates in all assigned staff meetings, staff development, and training as required.
  • Adheres to Valley Hope's clinical philosophies, policies, and procedures as well as any other regulating bodies to ensure quality patient care.
  • Interacts and communicates with others (patients, co-workers, management, clients, and vendors) in a professional and tactful manner including treating them with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility.
  • Traditional work hours with the need to work evenings, nights, or weekends based on the need of the facility to provide patient care.
  • Direct contact with patients.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time; regularly talking to and listening to others.
  • Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time.
  • Able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to travel - estimated up to 15% of the time. Travel may increase based on the needs of the facilities within the market.
