GEM Neurology PLLC is seeking an experienced, polished, and highly reliable Patient Care Coordinator to join our private neurology practice in Clinton, Tennessee, starting in July 2026.
This is primarily a front desk position for someone who can confidently manage the daily flow of the clinic, communicate professionally with patients, and keep the office organized and efficient. Prior experience as a medical assistant is also valued, as this role may occasionally include limited back-office support when needed. The position is approximately 80% front desk and 20% medical assistant support when needed.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with recent experience in a medical or dental front office who is looking for a structured, predictable, and professional work environment.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- 1-hour unpaid lunch
- No weekends

Responsibilities
- Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Verify insurance and collect co-pays
- Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information
- Request, receive, and organize medical records
- Scan, fax, and process documents accurately
- Manage EMR tasks and support daily front office workflow
- Call patients as needed
- Help maintain a professional and welcoming patient experience
- Provide limited medical assistant support when needed
Requirements
- Recent experience in a medical or dental front desk role is required
- Prior medical assistant experience is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently and accurately
- Comfort using electronic medical records
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Professional references may be requested
- Experience with billing and coding is a plus
Compensation
- $20.00 per hour starting rate
- $21.00 per hour after 6 months
- $22.00 per hour after 1 year
- $23.00 per hour after 2.5 years
- $24.00 per hour after 5 years
Performance Bonus
Eligible after 1 year of employment based on performance, reliability, professionalism, and clinic needs. Bonus is not guaranteed and is awarded at employer discretion.
