Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement therapeutic interventions and support their growth and development. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and the ability to collect and analyze data to track progress.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Collect and document data on client behavior and progress, maintaining accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including special education teachers and healthcare providers, to coordinate care.
- Assist in the development of behavioral goals and strategies tailored to each client's needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- Experience or education in special education or a related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide patient care compassionately.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of behavior analysis.
