This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

Duties include but are not limited to:
* PCMHI CCC Clinical Practice Management:
* Collaborates with PCPs and the interdisciplinary PACT to support high quality, effective, and coordinated service delivery at the patient and programmatic levels.
* Maintains daily open access slots and encourages same day warm handoffs within PACT.
* Conducts initial functional assessments that are focused on the main reason(s) for referral.
* Documentation Skills:
* Writes clear, concise notes that are optimized for collaboration within PACT based on the PCMHI CCC functional assessment and follow-up visit guidelines
* Notes important elements for team collaboration as appropriate. Notes are completed same day or within 24 hours.
* Consultation and Interdisciplinary Team-Based Skills:
* Engages in PACT huddles and meetings to serve as a subject matter expert for behavioral health considerations
* Provides education to PACT on mental health and health behavior issues, and tips to promote effective patient communication, motivational enhancement, and behavior change
* Accepts and encourages same day warm handoffs. Routinely provides feedback to PCP and PACT members same day as referral.
* Administration:
* Serves on committees or task forces, as endorsed by supervisors.
* Participates in Psychology privileging, educational and peer review activities, in accord with policies.
* Supports psychology administrative initiatives and performance improvement activities.
* Academic/Teaching/Training:
* Supervises psychology predoctoral interns, practicum students and post-doctoral fellows in accord with training program policies and accrediting agency requirements.
* Provides staff and student didactic training and consultation as requested in content areas of scholarly and/or clinical expertise.
* May supervise or train allied health providers in accord with facility and regulatory standards regarding such training.
* Research/ Program Evaluation:
* May participate in program evaluation and/or research activities
Clinical Responsibilities for the GS 11:
* Ability to diagnose mental disorders and conduct psychological assessments.
* Ability to treat mental disorders through a variety of modalities and provide adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders.
* Practice is under the close supervision of a licensed psychologist.

* Ability to treat mental disorders through a variety of modalities and provide adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders.
* Provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services including assessment and uses the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality care.
* Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions including, evidenced based psychotherapies.

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
