Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Aide to join our dynamic team in supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed behavior analysts and special educators in implementing therapy strategies based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Support clients during therapy sessions, educational activities, and daily routines to enhance engagement and skill acquisition.
  • Accurately collect, record, and analyze data on client progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions.
  • Assist in diagnostic evaluations and intake assessments by observing behaviors and documenting relevant findings.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of medical records and sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide compassionate support during behavioral health sessions while ensuring a safe and structured environment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), is required.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and record-keeping practices in behavioral health settings.
  • Ability to collect accurate data and maintain detailed records for progress monitoring.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA standards.
  • Flexible, patient-centered approach with the ability to adapt to individual client needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in special education or behavioral health is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
