Contract Position | Full‑Time Onsite | Weekly Pay: $2100–$2300 (DOE)About the Role

We’re partnering with a district in Kankakee, Illinois to bring on a full‑time School Psychologist for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for a practitioner who thrives in structured evaluation environments, collaborates well with multidisciplinary teams, and maintains high standards for compliance, documentation, and student support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations across assigned grade levels
  • Interpret assessment data and produce clear, compliant evaluation reports
  • Participate in eligibility meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Support MTSS/RTI processes as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation aligned with Illinois state and district requirements
  • Manage timelines to ensure evaluations and reports are completed promptly
  • Provide professional expertise that supports student success and data‑driven decision‑making

Qualifications (Illinois‑Specific Requirements)

To work as a School Psychologist on an agency contract in Illinois, candidates must hold:

  • Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology (or higher)
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement
  • ISBE‑approved internship completion (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong understanding of Illinois evaluation procedures, timelines, and compliance
  • Experience with psychoeducational assessment, report writing, and eligibility processes
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, structured environment

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience supporting MTSS/RTI frameworks
  • Familiarity with diverse assessment tools and culturally responsive practices

Role Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, full‑time school hours
  • Work Setting: 100% onsite
  • Contract Length: Full 2026–2027 school year
  • Location: Kankakee, Illinois
  • Compensation: $2100–$2300 weekly (based on experience)
  • Caseload: Assigned by district; may include evaluations, MTSS support, and team collaboration
  • Start Date: August 2026
