Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations across assigned grade levels
- Interpret assessment data and produce clear, compliant evaluation reports
- Participate in eligibility meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support MTSS/RTI processes as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation aligned with Illinois state and district requirements
- Manage timelines to ensure evaluations and reports are completed promptly
- Provide professional expertise that supports student success and data‑driven decision‑making
Qualifications (Illinois‑Specific Requirements)
To work as a School Psychologist on an agency contract in Illinois, candidates must hold:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology (or higher)
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement
- ISBE‑approved internship completion (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of Illinois evaluation procedures, timelines, and compliance
- Experience with psychoeducational assessment, report writing, and eligibility processes
- Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, structured environment
Preferred but not required:
- Experience supporting MTSS/RTI frameworks
- Familiarity with diverse assessment tools and culturally responsive practices
