SENIOR INSTRUCTOR in SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY

What you will do:

•    Support the bilingual program area concentration, including teaching relevant courses, advising and supervising students, and collaborating to create fieldwork opportunities.

•    Develop and deliver professional development opportunities related to assessing multilingual learners and the provision of multilingual psychological services.

•    Oversee our assessment clinic, including supervising students (in English and Spanish), doing outreach, and administrative responsibilities.

•    Teach graduate classes in the school psychology program; for example: psychological assessment, multicultural interventions and assessment, supervision, psychopathology, applied behavior assessment, field experience supervision (6-9 credit hours per semester), or other selected courses

•    Infuse multicultural and advocacy content in all courses 

•    Assist in recruiting, retaining, and advising school psychology students

•    Serve on doctoral committees

•    Fulfill service responsibilities to the program, school, university, and the profession

Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

•    Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an APA accredited program

•    Bilingual in English and Spanish

•    Prior experience as a school psychologist, including providing services in Spanish

•    Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in Colorado

•    Prior school psychology-related supervision experience

Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)

•    Completion of an APA-accredited internship

•    Experience working in a clinical setting, including conducting psychological assessments

•    A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a school psychologist

•    Prior graduate teaching experience

•    Prior supervision of clinical trainees 

•    Experience designing professional learning experiences

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•    Commitment to training school psychologists to work with culturally and linguistically minoritized populations

•    A theoretical orientation consistent with broadly defined school mental health service programs.

Conditions of Employment

•    This is a full-time academic year (9-month), non-tenure-track Senior Instructor (50% teaching, 50% administrative) in the School Psychology Program. The position includes serving as the coordinator of our bilingual specialization and coordinating and supervising assessment services in our clinic. The position is located in Denver, Colorado, and is not remote. Opportunity for summer teaching may be available. The position will start in Fall 2026.
