Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses accurately to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting, promoting independence and life skills.
- Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching new skills, managing behaviors, and encouraging positive interactions.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and update individualized treatment goals tailored to each client’s needs.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes trust, patience, and motivation for clients working with autism or other developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in achieving greater independence.
- Strong data collection skills to track progress accurately over time.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards such as HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent teaching skills combined with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including those with autism spectrum disorder.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
