Residential Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Aide to join our team in providing exceptional support and care to residents in a community living environment. Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of residents, ensuring safety and adherence to community guidelines.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, de-escalating conflicts and responding promptly to emergencies.
• Assist with childcare responsibilities for residents with families or dependents, supporting their developmental needs.
• Maintain security protocols by monitoring entrances, conducting regular patrols, and ensuring a safe environment for all residents.
• Support behavioral health initiatives through behavioral management techniques and emotional support.
• Conduct intake assessments for new residents, collecting relevant data and coordinating case management services.
• Administer medications following prescribed schedules and document medication administration accurately.
• Facilitate communication between residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Collect data on resident progress and incident reports; maintain organized filing systems for documentation purposes.

Requirements

• Proven supervising experience in a residential or social services setting.
• Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Experience with childcare, addiction counseling, or behavioral health is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of security procedures and conflict management strategies.
• Background in social work or home & community care is preferred.
• Ability to perform data entry, filing, and data collection accurately and efficiently.
• Certification in first aid and medication administration is required
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with diverse populations.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
