Experteer Overview In this role you will provide comprehensive psycho-diagnostic assessments and a range of evidence-based therapies to veterans in the MH Outpatient Program. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, contribute to teaching and supervision, and engage in program evaluation and research to improve patient outcomes. Your clinical work includes education, care coordination, and consultation with medical center staff to optimize treatment. This position offers opportunities to influence training programs, present findings, and participate in committees within a federal health system. Compensation / Benefits • Perform psycho-diagnostic assessments and select appropriate psychotherapy techniques • Deliver individual and group interventions with emphasis on evidence-based practices • Provide psychoeducation, case management, and timely referrals as needed • Consult with medical center staff on patient care issues • Supervise and train disciplines at various levels; contribute to Psychology Training Program and Training Committee • Contribute to research or program evaluation; present outcomes at VA or broader scientific meetings • Maintain clinical charting and documentation per center requirements • Participate in committees, professional organizations, and community events • Represent the medical center in professional activities and initiatives Tasks • Doctoral degree in psychology (APA/PCSAS/CPA accredited) or equivalent re-specialization pathway • Successful completion of an APA- or CPA-accredited internship or acceptable alternative as specified • Current full, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the U.S. or eligible for a temporary graduate psychologist appointment if licensed supervision is in place • U.S. Citizenship • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) • Background/security investigation and pre-employment requirements; pre-employment physicals; influenza vaccination requirement • Eligibility for GS-11 to GS-13 depending on experience; licensed status required for higher levels Key requirements • Paid time off (annual leave, sick leave) • Parental leave (up to 12 weeks after 12 months) • Childcare subsidy (up to 25%) • Federal retirement/pension and 401K contributions • Federal health/vision/dental/insurance programs • Flexible work options (where available)
