Job Title: Travel Behavioral Health Clinician (LICSW)
Location: Falmouth, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule
- Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 10-hour shifts, 3 days/week (30 hours)
- Rotating schedule, including every other weekend and holiday
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Clinician (LICSW) to join a fast-paced Emergency Department team. This role focuses on providing crisis intervention, psychosocial assessments, and care coordination to support patients and families during critical situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial and crisis assessments in the ED setting
- Provide short-term therapeutic counseling to patients and families
- Develop and coordinate safe and effective discharge plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and psychiatrists
- Perform mental health and substance abuse evaluations
- Facilitate referrals for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services
- Assist with placement in psychiatric or long-term care facilities
- Coordinate reporting for child and elder abuse cases
- Act as a liaison with community resources and support agencies
- Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements
- Provide follow-up support and continuity of care
Requirements
- Active LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) – Massachusetts
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Behavioral Health and/or Emergency Department
- CPI/MAB (De-escalation Certification) required within 90 days of hire
Qualifications
- Strong clinical judgment and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Experience in care coordination and discharge planning
- Knowledge of behavioral health systems and community resources
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
