About Us
Preston Wood Pediatrics Home Health is a compassionate provider of pediatric therapy services dedicated to helping children reach their full potential. We specialize in speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, early intervention, and support for children with autism and other developmental needs. As we expand our services with a new office building and daycare center to better serve low-income communities in the DFW area, we're looking for dedicated professionals to join our growing team.
Position Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Behavior Technicians to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. Working in home-based settings under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), you will implement individualized treatment plans that help children develop essential life skills. No prior experience required—we provide comprehensive training!
Key Responsibilities
Direct Client Care
- Implement behavior intervention plans and treatment programs designed by supervising BCBAs
- Provide one-on-one therapy to children throughout the DFW area
- Use ABA techniques to teach communication, social, play, self-care, and academic skills
- Follow behavior support plans to address challenging behaviors
- Engage children in structured learning activities and natural play-based teaching
- Collect data on client progress and behavior during each therapy session
Family Collaboration
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with families
- Model therapeutic techniques for parents and caregivers
- Support family members in implementing strategies at home
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with all families
Professional Responsibilities
- Complete accurate session notes and data collection after each visit
- Attend training sessions, team meetings, and supervision meetings
- Follow all treatment plans and protocols consistently
- Maintain client confidentiality and privacy
- Arrive on time and prepared for all scheduled sessions
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required
- Experience: No prior experience required! We will train you. Experience working with children is a plus
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Availability: Flexible schedule including afternoon, evening, and weekend hours based on client needs
- Age: Must be 18 years or older
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children (babysitting, camp counselor, teaching assistant, childcare, etc.)
- Experience with children with special needs or autism
- Interest in pursuing RBT certification (we support this!)

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel on the floor, and move actively during therapy sessions
- Ability to engage in active play and physical activities with children
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds as needed
- Ability to respond quickly to ensure child safety
- Physical stamina for an active, hands-on role
Schedule
- Flexible hours available: Part-time (15-25 hours/week) or Full-time (30-40 hours/week)
- Most sessions occur weekday afternoons/evenings (after school) and weekends
- Build a consistent schedule with your assigned clients
- Morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts available based on client needs and your availability
