Social Worker 1 - Head Start (Community Services Department)

This role is an advanced and professional social work position that reports directly to the Head Start/Early Head Start Infant and Toddler Coordinator in the Community Services Department (CSD). The incumbent will be responsible for managing eligibility, recruitment, and enrollment processes for Early Head Start infants and toddlers. Additional duties include working with families to identify individual goals, providing information on available services, and making referrals to job training, employability skills programs, medical services, emergency financial assistance, and housing support. A DCF level 2 background screening will be conducted as a term of employment.
