Overview
Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to support an RBT with severe behavior management.
This position offers an engaging opportunity to apply behavioral therapy techniques, assist with daily living activities, and contribute to personalized care plans. You will work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to foster growth, independence, and positive behavior change in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Duties
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy strategies, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Support teaching sessions tailored to individual needs, incorporating special education principles and behavior management techniques.
- Foster a positive environment by applying behavioral health principles and promoting respectful interactions with clients.
Experience
- Registered Behavior Technician certification is NOT required.
- Prior experience working with children or adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Prior experience working with high-intensity behaviors is preferred.
- Male BT is strongly preferred, but female BTs are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with RBT, family, and BCBA.
- Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality protocols in medical documentation.
Candidate will work alongside RBT in managing high-intensity behaviors.
