A licensed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) in San Jacinto, California, serves youth aged 6–17 who have experienced trauma, behavioral challenges, and emotional distress. Our mission is to create a safe, therapeutic, and culturally responsive home environment that fosters healing, growth, and stability.

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide weekly clinical supervision to an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) or Master of Social Work (MSW) staff member who works directly with youth in our STRTP.

The Clinical Supervisor will oversee and guide the ASW/MSW in delivering mental health and behavioral support services to the youth in residence. The Supervisor ensures that clinical quality is maintained, compliance with CCLD and DHCS requirements is upheld, and ethical practice aligns with BBS standards.

This position entails weekly supervision sessions, reviewing clinical documentation, overseeing clinical work, and signing off on treatment plans as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual supervision (minimum 1 hour per week) to the ASW/MSW in accordance with BBS supervision standards.

Review and sign off on clinical documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments.
Monitor casework for accuracy, ethical compliance, and adherence to STRTP standards and Title 22, Section 87089.1.
Ensure that all therapeutic interventions are trauma-informed, culturally competent, and developmentally appropriate.
Collaborate with program leadership to ensure that the ASW/MSW’s clinical work aligns with the youth’s individualized treatment and transition plans.

Provide consultation on crisis intervention, de-escalation, and case coordination when necessary.

Maintain supervision logs, agreements, and documentation in accordance with BBS and DHCS requirements.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and offer clinical guidance to support staff when appropriate.

Uphold the NASW Code of Ethics, CAMFT ethical standards, and all state regulatory requirements.

Required:

Active California LCSW or LMFT license in good standing.

Minimum 2 years of post-licensure experience in clinical supervision, residential treatment, or community mental health.

Familiarity with STRTP or group-home settings, trauma-informed care, and Title 22 regulations.

Knowledge of child welfare systems, DHCS Mental Health Program Certification, and Medi-Cal documentation standards is preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and documentation review skills.

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and model ethical decision-making.

Preferred:

Prior experience supervising ASW/MSW clinicians or interns.

Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems or paper documentation used in residential settings
