Job Title: CADC/Case Manager

Reports to: Operations Director/Program Director/Clinical Director and Lead Case Manager

Department: Support Staff

Supervises: N/A

Salary: DOE + Benefits (after successful completion of probationary period)

General Summary: The CADC/Case Manager is part of the Support Staff Team. The CADC/Case Manager works as lead support staff, running groups, supporting other activities, assisting the Case Manager as needed, keeps The Leadership Team informed on any issues/problems with any clients. Fulfills outlined Job Duties.

Job Duties:

  • The CADC/Case Manager supports clients during their treatment stay.:
  • Responsible for conducting groups weekly (with provided material).
  • Meets with clients on an individual basis as needed.
  • Documents progress in client files.
  • Knowledge of policy and procedure manual relating to program protocol.
  • Knowledgeable in resource management to include but not limited to FMLA, EDD, Disability, EBT, and other social assistance programs.
  • CADC/Case Manager performs and maintains professional abilities in the following areas:
  • Maintain and adhere to all Federal, State, and County regulations regarding client confidentiality and staff code of ethics.
  • Continuous training in areas where needed, attendance at seminars, and continue earning CEUs.
  • Crisis intervention-recognizing emotional stress and utilizing resources to resolve problems.
  • Client education-provide current alcohol/drug information and available resources to resolve problems.
  • Refer clients requiring services that fall outside of So Cal Sunrise Center’s scope to appropriate agencies.
  • Ensure that all services being provided are in compliance with HIPAA and CFR 42 and ADP standards.
  • Communicate with families or referral sources as deemed appropriate.
  • And assist as needed in the following areas:
  • 30 minute checks on all clients for the first 72 hours under our care.
  • 1 hour checks on all clients.
  • Taking clients vitals and completing the COWS and CIWA score as required.
  • Assisting and observing clients during medication times.
  • Addressing all issues concerning clients during shift (i.e. isolating behavior, aggressive behavior, cravings, detox symptoms, ect.)
  • Being empathetic and supportive while interacting on a consistent basis with all clients during shift, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to assist clients who are on residential and detoxification treatment.
  • IMMEDIATELY report to the Director of Operations if client is symptomatic.
  • IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY ADMISSIONS DEPARTMENT IF A CLIENT IS GOING TO ACA. Followed by the Director of Operations and the Clinical Director.
  • Transportation of clients as needed for various appointments.
  • UA/Drug testing clients per facility protocols or as needed.
  • Breathalyzing clients needed and directed by supervisor.
  • Maintain adequate supply of all forms and inventory, including making grocery lists.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the house.
  • Meals and snack preparation for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a variety of snacks.
  • Laundry for clients.
  • Take incoming calls to the office phone.
  • Distribute cigarettes as per facility protocol.
  • FOLLOW DIRECTIVES FROM SUPERVISOR.
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries at all times with fellow staff and clients.
  • Complete client intakes.
  • Write a End of Shift Report to the email to notify management and all staff of what is going on inside the facility.
  • Oversees residential clients
  • Instructs and confirms the company’s rules and regulations to new admissions (Orientates Clients)
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and staff
  • Attends meetings as directed
  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.
  • Assist with upkeep of the facility.
  • Completes and forwards any incident reports and any other safety risk issues immediately to supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Required experience is CADC I or CADC-R. We will provide supervision for hours that you are working toward for your CADC-I.
  • Specific knowledge helpful in process addiction and treatment resources.
  • Knowledge of treatment and referral community in Southern California.
  • Knowledge of dual diagnosis treatment practice including non-pharmacological symptom management techniques.
  • Current certification in First Aid/CPR
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and CFR 42 requirements.

Competency:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of client rights and confidentiality laws related to addictions.
  • Knowledge of the Disease Concept of Addictions and the ability to explain that to our clients.
  • Ability to work retention with clients that are wanting to ACA from our programs.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills to assess the client’s dependence/addictive behaviors in relation to his physical status.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of community resources, including social and educational services, and ability to make appropriate referrals.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacological issues of addictions.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the biopsychosocial influences and effects of dependencies and addictive behaviors on the client and his significant others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
