Schedule: Monday–Friday (Day or Night Shift Available)
Compensation: $58,000 – $66,000/year

Summary

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Behavioral Health Social Worker (BSW) to support crisis intervention, behavioral health assessments, and community-based mental health services. In this role, you will conduct crisis screenings, complete clinical assessments, and provide brief therapeutic interventions for individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies while coordinating care and ensuring compliance with Medicaid and state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct crisis screenings, inpatient assessments, and access evaluations across crisis centers, emergency departments, and community settings
• Provide brief, solution-focused therapy and crisis stabilization interventions
• Perform emergency department assessments (in-person or virtual)
• Coordinate care and referrals with healthcare providers, courts, schools, and community agencies
• Develop person-centered plans and support continuity of care
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with Medicaid standards and agency policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university
• Active Michigan licensure (LMSW, LPC, or LMFT required)
• Experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health assessments, or community mental health preferred
• Knowledge of community mental health systems and crisis response practices
• Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation tools preferred
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and crisis management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners
