Patient Care Coordinator

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is an administrative position that works in close collaboration with the physician and the clinical staff. You are the first point of contact for patients and referring physicians who call the office. You help coordinate, schedule, and confirm appointments while assisting the clinical staff with patient flow in the office while being responsible for patient check-out at the end of each visit. Candidates should demonstrate problem solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage patient care with specific knowledge and experience.

The patient care coordinator makes a huge impact because he/ she is the first friendly face and the last caring interaction that patients have at our integrative medical office and wellness center. Highly organized and self-motivated, the PCC ensures that patients are informed and at ease, staff is prepared, and operations are running smoothly


Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients in the office and help with patient flow
  • Process with patients’ check out and products delivery in office
  • Perform general clerical duties in order to help clinical staff
  • Respond to telephone calls and e-mails from existing patients
  • Deliver messages with medical questions to the provider
  • Assure regular follow-up with patients and process products ordering and shipping
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient team environment

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in customer service
  • Experience in healthcare or clinical environment with patient interfacing role preferred but not required
  • Ability to interface with clients and clinic personnel in a professional way while maintaining confidentiality
  • Excellent skills in communication both verbal and written interpersonal relations
  • Proficiency in documentation, translation, and retention
  • Multi-tasker with strong emphasis on organizational skills
