At Holistic Mental Health Counseling, we are expanding our services to include a dedicated Biblical Counseling department, offering clients the opportunity to receive care that is deeply rooted in truth found in Jesus Christ.

This role is a unique opportunity to help build and shape this new department from the ground up. We are in the process of transforming our mission and website. The Biblical Counselor will play a key role not only in serving clients, but also in helping establish the foundation for a growing, Christ-centered counseling track within our practice.

The ideal candidate will:

• Provide counseling grounded in Scripture, prayer, and Christ-centered transformation
• Help clients identify and replace lies with biblical truth about their identity, worth, and purpose
• Gently guide clients in recognizing idols of the heart (e.g., control, approval, fear, comfort) and redirecting their trust and dependence back to Jesus
• Support clients in deepening their relationship with God as the foundation for lasting change
• Contribute to the development and vision of our Biblical Counseling services

Future Growth & Leadership Opportunity

As this department grows, there may be opportunities—as the Lord leads—to step into a leadership or supervisory role.

Candidates who are open to supervising, mentoring, or supporting other Biblical Counselors in the future are highly encouraged to apply.

• Previous experience in supervision, leadership, or ministry oversight is a strong plus
• A willingness to grow into this type of role is equally valued

Qualifications (Additional Requirements for This Role)

• Must have at least 1 year of experience practicing Biblical Counseling
• Strong, active relationship with Jesus Christ
• Confidence in using Scripture as a primary tool in counseling sessions
• Certification or training in Biblical Counseling (preferred but not required)
• Licensed clinician (LMHC, LPC, LCSW) is a plus, but not required depending on role

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to understand clients’ spiritual, emotional, and mental health needs
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions utilizing biblical principles
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing urgent mental health or spiritual distress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Be able to work independently and as part of team as needed

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
