ROLE: Seeking a PMHNP-BC for a 2 day a week part time role to join a well run, comfortably-paced, non-profit outpatient clinic serving a severe and mentally ill population (SMI) with co-occuring Dual Diagnosis disorders. You will predominantly focus on helping patients succeed with their SMI goals, while the substance councillors and additional program staff support the remainder of your patients' psychosocial needs.

Experience a high level of nurse support for each of your visits, as well as a high level of wrap around staffing, which together maximize successful treatment and a safe workplace. Participate in a daily multidisciplinary team meetings to help shape biopsychosocial treatment plans and lead your patients to stability & wellbeing.

*Ability to concurrently document patient visits in an EMR* will be an important skill to help achieve the mild 50% productivity goals present at this program.

TEAM: The onsite team involves wrap around staffing including addiction therapists, case managers and nurses to maximize successful treatment and a safe workplace. Off-site physician supervisors & NP leadership support team are locally renowned.

LOCATION: All work is in-person, predominantly based at the central San Diego clinic at the present time. Up to 10% percent of hours include the opportunity for field visits to patients in the community.

2 days weekly are available at this location. Additional days weekly are available at other clinics to achieve a full time role if desired.

REQUIREMENTS: Unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner License and Furnishing number required prior to applying. 24 month full-time equivalent period of paid PMHNP care to an SMI population required, 5 years experience preferred. Significant experience managing refractory and unstable severely mentally ill clients required eg some patients who require dual antipsychotics or depot medications. No family nurse practitioners or Physician Assistants (PA). No J1 visa candidates.

SCHEDULE: Each morning begins with a team meeting followed by ~6 hours of patient visits divided as 60-90 minute intakes and 30 minutes follow up visits (less visits scheduled on days in the field). Protected charting time. 8 hour days.

COMPENSATION: Prorated and based on a $205,000 - $215,000 / year + up to $20,000 productivity bonus + 5.2 weeks of PTO. 4% Matching 401k included and prorated $800/yr CME funds. In the future if you were to add additional days to become a full time with us we offer additional excellent benefits. This role is Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible.
