Elevated Behavioral Therapy Services (EBTS) is seeking reliable, adaptable, and dedicated School Behavior Technician Floaters to join our growing team for the 2025–2026 school year.

As a Floater, you will not be assigned to a set school site. Instead, you will be deployed to different school locations on an as-needed basis to provide behavioral support coverage for staff callouts, planned absences, or urgent needs. Coverage may be assigned in advance or the morning of, depending on the nature of the absence.

This is a part-time, Monday through Friday position, and ideal for candidates who are flexible, proactive, and enjoy dynamic environments. This position has the possibility of becoming full-time. You’ll work across various grade levels (K–12), supporting students with behavior plans, implementing behavior interventions, de-escalating behaviors, and helping students succeed both socially and academically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide On-Demand Support: Fill in for absent School Behavior Technicians across Glendale Unified schools, often on short notice.
  • Work Across Campuses & Grade Levels: Serve students in both general and special education classrooms, from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Implement Behavior Plans: Follow individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and support students per their IEPs.
  • Collaborate with School Teams: Work closely with teachers, school leaders, and clinical supervisors to ensure consistency in behavioral support.
  • Utilize ABA Strategies: Apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to reduce challenging behavior and increase skill acquisition.
  • Manage Challenging Behavior: De-escalate non-compliant, aggressive, or disruptive behaviors using proactive and safe strategies.
  • Collect Data: Record daily session notes and collect behavioral data using a company-provided iPad.
  • Support Personal Needs: Provide personal care assistance (e.g., toileting) as specified in the student’s IEP.
  • Assist with toileting (if applicable)
  • Demonstrate Professionalism: Arrive on time and be prepared to adapt to various school environments throughout the week.

Schedule & Availability:

  • Minimum Availability: Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm
  • Start and end times vary depending on assigned school site(s)
  • Must be able to respond quickly to morning-of assignments
  • Option to provide in-home ABA services when schools are not in session

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience with individuals with autism or behavioral challenges(preferably in a school setting)
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to multiple school sites in a day
  • Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance
  • Current TB clearance
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (provided by EBTS if needed)
  • CPI certification (provided by EBTS if needed)
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical activities including standing, kneeling, andrunning
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable collecting data on an iPad
  • Can pass a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's in Psychology, Education, or a related field
  • Bilingual
  • Previous school-based experience
  • Experience supporting diverse learners with IEPs and BIPs

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $22.00 – $28.00/hr (based on experience, education, and certifications)
