Scope
Psychology interns will provide direct patient care including psychological assessment and psychotherapy in outpatient and/or hospital-based settings and will participate in supervision. They will work collaboratively on interprofessional teams. Interns will participate in didactics, meetings, programs and conferences, conduct research resulting in presentations and/or publications, and successfully complete all program requirements. Individuals in this position will be part of an APA-accredited internship program, subject to the policies and procedures of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC).
Minimum Required Qualifications
A master’s degree or the equivalent in clinical or counseling psychology is required along with a statement from the trainee’s graduate school Director of Clinical Training that the trainee has met all requirements for starting internship. Interns must be enrolled in an APA accredited graduate program. The successful completion of a background check is required.
