Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

***We are seeking an RBT for an in-home client in the Richmond area for approximately 25 hours a week, 10-12:30 & 2-4:30 Monday through Friday.***

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will play a crucial role in providing direct support to individuals with behavioral health needs, implementing behavior management strategies, and assisting in the development of care plans. This position requires a strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and the ability to educate clients and their families on effective coping strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Provide direct support to clients by utilizing behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors.
• Educate clients and their families about behavioral health concepts, coping strategies, and the importance of adherence to care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Monitor client progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising BCBA.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to behavioral therapy practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Registered Behavior Technician is required.
• One year of experience as an RBT preferred.
• Experience or education in behavioral health, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of care plans is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding client information in accordance with HIPAA standards.
• Previous experience in assisting with behavioral therapy or similar roles is a plus.
• A compassionate approach towards individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.
