Company Description:

Residents Medical is an education consulting company specializing in the field of medical education. We provide guidance, education and consultancy services for medical students and graduates enabling US and International medical students and graduates to be top viable candidates to achieve a US residency position. Residents Medical also helps create training program at community based hospitals. Services range from USMLE tutoring, ERAS application assistance, CV and PS Revamping, and assistance obtaining externships and research fellowships and assisting health systems globally with measurable improvements.

Job Details:

The role of the Medical Residency Specialist Counselor is to recruit medical students and doctors and manage existing candidates, advise and monitor their development, education, preparatory and placement plans to create a pathway for medical residency. In addition, the Residency Placement Specialist will identify hospitals qualified for post-graduate training programs and health systems in need of improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule initial phone calls with candidates and institutions
  • Follow up with leads and create summaries for potential new clients.
  • Advise potential and current institutions and candidates.
  • Manage current institutions and candidates to ensure they are achieving contracted goals.
  • Edit student and institution applications
  • Update and maintain all current institution and candidate files
  • Attend weekly candidate and institution meetings and track progress on assigned candidates
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Medical school graduates unable to achieve residency (Preferred)
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Must be flexible; maintain a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Mentorship/recruitment experience highly preferred
  • Excellent organization and communication skills

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
