Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, clinically strong Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide high-quality psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management services across the lifespan. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, collaborative, and committed to evidence-based care in a supportive, ethical practice environment
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans
- Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness
- Order, review, and interpret relevant labs and diagnostic tests
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
- Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Provide patient education on diagnoses, medications, and treatment options
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and organizational regulations
- Participate in clinical meetings, supervision (as required), and quality initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice independently.
- Demonstrated experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospitals (including Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, urgent care clinics, outpatient facilities, or home care settings.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), infection control protocols, and HIPAA compliance.
- Experience performing advanced procedures such as suturing, IV infusion/insertion, catheterization (including urinary catheters), tube feeding management, venipuncture/Phlebotomy.
- Skilled in managing patients with complex needs including dementia/dementia care (Alzheimer’s/memory care), developmental disabilities (working with individuals with disabilities), neonatal ventilator management (NICU), pediatric care (toddler/neonatal/infant care).
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms or ICU units; experience in trauma or critical care is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and patient education across diverse populations including children and seniors. Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with Psychiatric Mental Health specialization
- Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in the practicing state
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Board Certification as PMHNP (ANCC)
- Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort with telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team
Preferred Experience
- Experience treating children, adolescents, adults, or geriatric populations (specify as applicable)
- Experience in outpatient behavioral health or integrated care settings
- Familiarity with evidence-based treatment guidelines
- Multistate licensure a plus

Pay: $53,566.72 - $64,510.46 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
