Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people? At Legacy Community Health, we're looking for a dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our family. You'll be providing a full range of psychiatric services to our FQHC clients, aiming to improve their mental health and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments and provide treatment for patients in assigned clinics
  • Maintain regularly scheduled hours and actively engage with patients
  • Meet or exceed productivity requirements as set by leadership
  • Develop and maintain clinical diagnostic and treatment protocols
  • Provide availability by phone during and outside regular clinic hours as needed
  • Assist in the review and development of patient educational materials
  • Supervise healthcare students for educational purposes
  • Develop and maintain a program for clinical quality assurance
  • Coordinate care with non-physician providers and Behavioral Health Coordinators
  • Consult with colleagues and specialists as appropriate
  • Participate in meetings, the Performance Improvement Program, and peer reviews
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a Medical Doctor, Board-certified (or Board-eligible and working toward certification) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with current Texas License
  • Must uphold the Code of Ethics of their professional licensing entity
  • Must complete the minimum hours of continuing education to maintain professional license
  • Must maintain good standing with professional licensing board
  • Credentialed and privileged according to Legacy's standards and practices
  • Must demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to all populations served
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, community and the general public
  • Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize
