The Mobile Psych Rehab Counselor/Specialist will be required to follow Chapter 5230 regulations.
The MPRC plays an important and direct role with individuals receiving services, communicates with outside agency providers and required paperwork.· Provide skills teaching - including skills in the area of Living, Learning, Working, Socialization and Overall Well-being· Follow the principle of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and ensure that the state regulations are followed· Provide services within the guidelines of the program, regulations, in a timely manner and completing documentation as required.
Hours and Payrate: Counselor - $18.00 Specialist - $20.00 Full time (37.5 hrs/week), in-office/mobile position. Typical work schedule M-F hours vary according to the caseload, with an occasional evening. An agency vehicle is available for use.
REQUIREMENTS - Mobile Psych Rehab Counselor -
- Bachelor’s degree, or
- Associate degree and one-year work experience in mental health direct service, or
- A Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certificate and one-year paid or volunteer work experience in mental health direct service, or
- A high school diploma or GED and two-years work experience in human services which must include one year of mental health direct service.
REQUIREMENTS - Mobile Psych Rehab Specialist -
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience in mental health direct service, 1 year of which must be work experience in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service (PRS). Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) certification shall be attained within 2 years from the date of hire as a psychiatric rehabilitation specialist ; or
- CPRP certification
