Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. This position involves implementing behavior intervention plans, assisting with patient care, and ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations while fostering a positive environment for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized care plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Assist clients in daily living activities, promoting independence and skill development.
- Monitor and document client behavior and progress, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust treatment strategies.
- Provide support during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral health concepts and strategies.
- Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Spanish speaking
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and behavioral health practices is advantageous.
- Familiarity with care plans and the principles of applied behavior analysis is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to assist clients compassionately.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative independently.
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
- Please note: The client has a severe allergy to cats and dogs. For health and safety reasons, we are only able to consider therapists who do not have cats or dogs in their home and who cannot be exposed to pet dander.
