Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with clients in the home, to implement behavior intervention plans, and skill acquisition programs, based on applied behavior analysis (ABA). This role involves providing behavioral therapy, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and supporting clients in achieving their developmental goals within a supportive and professional environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in behavioral health, experience working with children, and a commitment to patient care and confidentiality.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions accurately and consistently
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and communication skills
- Support clients in developing social, communication, and functional skills through evidence-based teaching strategies
- Monitor client safety during sessions and ensure a safe environment at all times
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with team members to adapt strategies based on client needs and progress reports
- Educate families and caregivers on behavior management techniques and progress updates
- Uphold confidentiality of medical records and sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA standards
- Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral therapy, medical terminology, and special education practices
Requirements
- Valid Registered Behavior Technician certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or eligible for certification
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods
- Strong understanding of medical documentation, medical terminology, and care plans related to behavioral health
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations in a patient-centered manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Compassionate attitude with a passion for helping individuals improve their quality of life
- Prior experience assisting with ADLs is preferred but not required; training will be provided as needed

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
