- Provides clinical interventions under the supervision of a clinical supervisor holding an independent license in the same licensing field as the student (LISW-S).
- May provide crisis intervention services.
- Provides individual therapy.
- May provide group therapy.
- Maintains required documentation per agency standards including, but not limited to diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, progress notes for services rendered, transfer/discharge summaries, screening and assessment, safety planning
- Follows all policy and procedures of the agency.
- Adheres to ethical codes of conduct at all times.
- Completes agency required trainings.
- Participates in team meetings as available.
- Consults and collaborates with other members of the patient's treatment team to facilitate care coordination.
- Demonstrates adherence to the current publication of the DSM V and is working to develop and apply knowledge of behavioral theories and techniques.
- Clinical Interns will strive to meet the requirements outlined by the graduate program and will share these expectations as well as faculty contact information with the clinical supervisor.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the agency's mission, vision, goals, and philosophy as well as the policies and procedures for the department they are assigned to.
- Strives for high patient satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times, demonstrating open communication, and practicing non-violence in accordance with the Sanctuary principles, seeking supervision immediately when issues/conflict arise.

- Incorporates Sanctuary techniques into daily work activities.
- Must be enrolled in a CACREP Accredited Graduate Program for mental health/clinical counseling.
- Receives offer letter from Internship Coordinator and, after accepting, signs an agency site agreement for their University and the identified site supervisor.
- Counselor Trainee (CT) License required if not already licensed.
- Meets all on-boarding requirements for employees such as background check, TB testing, drug screening etc.
