Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic mental health and community care team. In this vital role, you will provide expert psychotherapy, clinical assessments, and case management services to diverse populations, including children, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help individuals navigate mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, trauma, and behavioral health issues within various settings such as clinics, hospitals, and community-based programs. Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical terminology and HIPAA-compliant documentation practices.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety and stability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate social work principles, psychopharmacology insights, and case management techniques.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR systems) for accurate medical documentation, data collection, and progress tracking.
- Engage in clinical research activities related to behavioral health, PTSD care, addiction counseling, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), contributing valuable insights to ongoing studies.
- Provide specialized support for patients with developmental disabilities or Alzheimer’s care needs in home or community settings.
- Conduct intake assessments and coordinate services for patients requiring hospital or outpatient care.
- Facilitate social work interventions in pediatric and geriatrics populations while respecting special education needs when applicable.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Proven experience with psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Strong background working with children, families, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or those requiring special education services.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for medical records management and data collection purposes.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding systems for accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Experience working within hospital settings or community-based programs is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments, crisis intervention, and case management effectively.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a positive and energetic approach to patient care.
