Job Summary

HopeGate Youth Residential Services is seeking compassionate and dependable Youth Residential Counselors (Direct Care Staff) to support adolescents in a structured residential setting. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about youth development, stability, and positive role modeling.

HopeGate is currently in the planned opening phase, and we are building a strong team in advance of licensing and program launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and support to youth in daily activities and routines
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive residential environment
  • Implement house rules, schedules, and behavioral expectations
  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor to youth
  • Document shift notes, incidents, and observations accurately
  • Assist with life skills development, recreation, and daily living activities
  • Participate in staff training, orientation, and meetings
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass background checks and required clearances
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with youth in a residential environment

Preferred:

  • Experience working with youth, foster care, group homes, or behavioral health
  • Coursework or education in social work, psychology, education, or related fields

Schedule & Employment Type

  • Full-time and Part-time positions available
  • Flexible scheduling (days, evenings, overnights, weekends)

This position is part of a planned program opening. Employment start dates are contingent upon state licensing approval and final program launch.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
